About Us
President's Message
Mr. Ian Edwards,P.Eng, NLS, CLS
President & CEO
Information Brokerage Ltd. (IBL) takes great pride in
developing innovative information technology solutions which provide increased
efficiencies through the use of spatial analysis.
IBL is a leader in the development of Internet enabled applications that not
only deliver spatial info but also provide real time editing capabilities. This
eliminates costly duplication of effort associated with copying or transposing
information from one media to another. It also reduces the possibility of human
error by minimizing human interaction in business processes.
Our flagship product "LandGazette"
provides functionality to enable land surveyors, in the Province of
Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, to input their respective surveys into a
central repository using customized web enabled spatial input tools. End users,
such as lawyers, real estate agents, appraisers, etc. may access the survey
information at any time from any location simply with a computer that is hooked
to the internet. LandGazette administers a transaction fee generated from end
users and allocates revenues in accordance with a predefined revenue
distribution strategy.
Running a close second to LandGazette is
e-infoTOWN®, a web enabled municipal information management system.
With e-infoTOWN® municipal administrators can remotely maintain geodatabases
related to municipal infrastructure, generate georeferenced work orders, plan
maintenance activities, track and analysis development applications, establish
georeferenced complaints monitoring systems, perform water network analysis,
generate georeferenced notifications and much more.
Thirdly IBL’s GeoSpatial Tracker
has been launched, it is a new innovative technology that can integrate with a
variety of global tracking systems and present the results from anywhere in the
world at any time, day or night, to any computer with an Internet connection.
Tracking units weighing approximately 1 kilogram, which provide satellite
communications, can be positioned on any vehicle, vessel or simply place in a
backpack and relay host positions at preset intervals. IBL teamed up with Blue
Oceans Satellite Systems, who are providing the satellite communications, which
have made this project possible.
